MySpace is a social networking website based in New York
City offering an interactive network of blogs, user
profiles, groups, photos, and an internal e-mail system.
According to Alexa Internet, as of May 2006 it is the
world's fourth most popular English-language website and the
fifth most popular in the world, with over 83 million
registered accounts. Note that the site's traffic volume is
based on unusually intense usage by a more limited number of
visitors. Many more than five English language sites have a
higher "reach" measurement; that is, they are visited by
more unique people each day.

Q. How do I add color, graphics, & sound to
my Profile page?
Adding color, graphics, and sound to your
profile page is easy and requires only a basic
knowledge of HTML (the programming language used
to create web pages on the Internet). Simply go
to "Edit Profile" and enter the desired HTML
coding where appropriate.
If you do not know HTML, you can reach out and
make a new friend by asking someone who has
color, graphics, and/or sound on their Profile
page how they did it. People on MySpace are
friendly and always willing to help, so just
ask! This is a great way to meet new people! |

Q. Is MySpace free?
Yes! Every feature and function you currently
see on the site is FREE. MySpace is supported
solely by advertising (the banners you see at
the top of every page). In the future, MySpace
will add paid Premium Services, but all the
features and functions you have currently been
enjoying on the MySpace site will always remain
FREE! |

Q. How can I change my name, age, and/or add
to the information on my Profile?
You may change your name, age, and/or add to the
information on your Profile through "Edit
Profile." Start by clicking on "Home" in the top
navigation menu from any MySpace web page. Once
on your personal home page, click on "Edit
Profile," appearing in the upper left portion of
the page, next to your picture. You will be
taken to your "Edit Profile" page where you may
edit or add information from the following
categories: name, age, city, state, zip,
ethnicity, body type, reason you're on MySpace,
who you are looking for, your headline, about
you, interests, background, lifestyle, schools
you've attended, companies you've worked at,
etc. |
Q. How can I change my e-mail address and/or
password?
Your e-mail address and password are found under
"Account Settings." Start by clicking on "Home"
in the top navigation menu from any MySpace web
page. Once on your personal home page, click on
"Account Settings," appearing in the upper left
portion of the page, next to your picture. You
will be taken to your "Account Settings" page
where you may edit any of your current settings
for these items. If you do not receive a
confirmation email, try checking your bulk
e-mail folder. Because MySpace so many
notifications per day, Hotmail, Yahoo and AOL
often assume our messages are spam. |
